The Garnet Chargers got their first three runners on with singles to open up the inning. A groundout gave Union its first run of the inning before a passed ball on a walk scored another. Another walk loaded the bases before a two-RBI single gave the Garnet Chargers a 7-5 lead. Michael Ascanio plating a run on another walk to get SUNY New Paltz within two. The threat ended there as the Hawks left the bases loaded, as Union got the last two outs of the game on a strikeout looking and a pop-out to seal the win.
