Syracuse, NY — The State University of New York Conference (SUNYAC) announced its weekly Athlete of the Week recipients Monday with Hawks freshman
Deanna Barry named to her first career SUNYAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week honor.
Barry posted a career-high off the bench Nov. 25 in a blowout 81-41 win over Mount Saint Vincent. In 18 minutes, Barry scored 18 points after draining 6-for-9 from 3-point range (also a career-high), finishing the afternoon shooting 60 percent from the floor while adding a rebound and an assist to her stat line.
The Highland, NY native is the second Hawk honored this year, as graduate student
Brianna Fitzgerald was named to her ninth career weekly honor Nov. 17.
SUNY New Paltz is back in action Friday, starting SUNYAC action against Oneonta in the Hawk Center at 5:30 p.m.
