2022-23: Placed 12th in 1650 freestyle (17:38.81) at SUNYAC Championships..scored second place in the 1000 freestyle (Adelphi)...finished third in the 1000 freestyle (Vassar)...at the TCNJ Invitational, placed 12th in the 1650 freestyle, and was member of 11th place 800 freestyle relay…personal bests: 200 individual medley (2:17.15), 1000 freestyle (10:39.69), 200 freestyle (1:54.12), 1650 freestyle (17:38.81).
2021-22: Placed ninth in 1650 freestyle (17:49.54), and 15th in both 500 freestyle (5:02.81) and 400 (4:42.64) individual medley at SUNYAC Championships…had second place finish vs Oneonta in 500 freestyle…third place in 500 freestyle (Western CT) and 1000 freestyle (Oneonta)...at TCNJ Invitational finished 16th in 1,m650 freestyle…recorded seven personal bests: 500 freestyle (5:02.81), 1,650 freestyle (17:49.54), 400 individual medley (4:42.65), 200 freestyle (1:57.10), 50 freestyle (:29.88), 1000 freestyle (10:51. 58), 200 individual medley (2:20.71).
High School Accolades: As Groton High School does not have a swim program, Euan has swum competitively for nine years with the Cortland YMCA Stringers Swim Club under the guidance of coaches Kerry Steve, Bernadette Belton, and Mike Kennedy...in 2020 he finished 2nd in the 500 free and 3rd in the 200 free at the CNY District YMCA Championship...in 2019 he finished 1st in the 100 free, 2nd in the 400 medley, 3rd in the 500 free, 200 fly, 5th in the 200 medley at the 13th Annual Whiteout Invitation...finished 9th in the 500 free at the 2019 MB NYS YMCA Championship...in 2018 he finished 2nd in the 1,500 free, 4th in the 400 free, 5th in the 400 medley at the 45th Annual Sertona Invitational...also in 2018 he finished 3rd in the 1,650 free and 4th in the 400 medley at the STSL Meet #3; finished 3rd in the 100 free at the STSL Meet #2; finished #4 in the 500 free, 5th in the 50 free in the STSL Meet #1...at the 2018 YMCA Goodwill Invitational he finished 1st in the 200 medley, 3rd in the 200 free, 50 fly, 1,000 free and 4th in the 500 free...at the 2017 11th Annual Winter Whiteout Invitational, Euan finished 1st in the 500 free, 2nd in the 200 medley, 4th in the 100 breast and 100 back and 5th in the 200 free...also in 2017 at the StSL Meet 32, finished 2nd in the 200 breast, 3rd in the 200 free, 4th in the 50 free...at the Skaneateles Lightning Invitational, finished 1st in the 200 medley, 2nd in the 100 free and 200 breast, 3rd in the 100 back.
Personal: From Groton, NY…. graduated from Groton High School in 2021… mother, Julie, ran cross country and indoor and outdoor track in college from 1991-1995… enjoys hiking… son of David and Julie Barclay.
