Biography
2009-10: Second-Team All-SUNYAC… Set the program record in the 1000 freestyle during her 1650 freestyle swim at SUNYACs, splitting a 10:39.77 at the 1000-yard mark… Earned runner-up honors in the 1650 freestyle at the SUNYAC Championships, covering the race in 17:42.20… Her 1650 time met NCAA provisional qualification… Also finished fourth in the 500 freestyle (5:11.71) and third in the 200 freestyle (1:56.90) at the conference championship meet… Anchored the Hawks’ second-place 800 freestyle relay (7:59.03) and second-place 400 freestyle relay (3:36.37) at SUNYACs… At ECACs, she posted a swift 2:15.22 time in the 200 backstroke.
2008-09: First-Team All-SUNYAC... Earned Hardest Worker for the Hawks... Set a school, meet and conference record of 17:36.70 in the 1650 freestyle at SUNYACs... Also took fifth in both the 500 freestyle and 200 freestyle at the conference championship meet... Was a member of the 200 freestyle relay, the 800 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay at SUNYACs, setting school records in the 400 freestyle relay (3:32.91) and 800 freestyle relay (7:49.78).
2007-08: Placed second in the 1650 freestyle in 18:16.33 and third in the 500 free (5:17.09) at the SUNYAC meet… Took third in the 800 free relay in 8:06.38… Earned Second-Team All-SUNYAC honors… Selected to the SUNYAC All Academic Team.
Prior to NP: 2007 graduate of Long Beach High School… All-County and All-Conference.
Other: Daughter of Roy and Nancy Lester... Top female finisher (10th overall) in 10K at the coed Elan Round the Sound Swim on Oct. 17 in Bermuda.
