Biography
2011-12: All-America in the 200 backstroke… Honorable Mention All-America in the 100 backstroke… SUNYAC’s Most Outstanding Female Swimmer… First-Team All-SUNYAC… Team MVP… SUNYAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week (2/12/12, 1/17/12)… Qualified for the NCAA Championships individually in both the 200 backstroke and 100 backstroke… At the NCAA championship meet, placed eighth in the 200 backstroke (2:02.66), 11th in the 100 backstroke (56.57) and 39th in the 200 individual medley (2:11.25)… Her time of 2:01.34 in the preliminary heats of the 200 backstroke set a program and SUNYAC overall mark… Earned the SUNYAC title in the 200 individual medley (2:08.62), the 100 backstroke (55.53) and the 200 backstroke (2:01.60)… Made NCAA “A” qualification in the 100 and 200 backstroke events and cleared NCAA “B” qualification in the 200 individual medley… Set program records in all three events, but her 200 backstroke time later was bettered at nationals… Achieved conference overall records in the 100 and 200 backstroke events… Competed on the Hawks’ second-place 400 medley relay (3:56.30), second-place 200 medley relay (1:47.27) and third-place 400 freestyle relay (3:33.40)… Led off New Paltz’s 400 freestyle relay in prelims with a season-best time of 54.75… Clocked a season-best time of 1:01.02 in the 100 butterfly against the Stevens Institute of Technology… Charted a season-best 4:53.23 in the 400 individual medley in a tri-meet against SUNY Geneseo and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
2010-11: First-Team All-SUNYAC… Qualified for the NCAA Championships as a member of the 200 medley relay… SUNYAC champion in the 100 backstroke (58.36) and the 200 backstroke (2:07.41)… Took third place in the 100 butterfly (59.27) at SUNYACs as well… Provisionally qualified for NCAAs in the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke… Member of the event-winning 400 medley relay (3:54.67) and 200 medley relay (1:46.44) at the SUNYAC Championships… Both relays met NCAA provisional qualification and set program records… The 200 medley relay team also erased the SUNYAC meet record in addition to the SUNYAC overall record… Went her season-best 200 backstroke time at NCAAs, going a 2:06.45… Swam her fastest time of the year in the 200 individual medley at the ECAC Championships (2:18.88).
2009-10: First-Team All-SUNYAC… SUNYAC All-Academic Team member… Captured the SUNYAC title in the 100 and 200 backstroke events, covering each in respective times of 58.79 and 2:07.92… Both swims met NCAA provisional qualification… Broke the program record in the 100 butterfly at SUNYACs, charting a time of 59.84... Her 100 butterfly performance at the conference meet was good for second overall… Helped New Paltz’s 400 medley relay achieve a program-record time of 3:58.44, which placed the Hawks second in the event at the SUNYAC meet… Also was a member of the third-place 200 freestyle relay (1:39.41) and the second-place 200 medley relay (1:48.90) at SUNYACs… Her 200 medley relay squad cleared the NCAA provisional cut… Clocked two fast individual medley times during the dual meet season, going a 2:17.55 200 individual medley against the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on Nov. 7 and a 4:55.37 400 individual medley against Vassar College on Nov. 21.
