SUNY New Paltz Athletics

2014: Co-captain…made nine appearances, all starts…finished with a 3-3 mark….threw two complete games…pitched 43.1 innings, second on the team…recorded a 4.36 ERA…struck out 26 batters…registered four pickoffs, tied for fourth-most in single season history…fanned six vs. Oneonta on April 1, throwing seven innings while allowing one earned run…registered six punch-outs against Fredonia on April 12, going 6.1 innings and surrendering just three hits.

2013: ECAC Upstate Pitcher of the Week (4/10)… SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week (4/8)… SUNYAC All-Academic Team member… Appeared in eight contests as a pitcher, making six starts… Threw 44 innings and fashioned an ERA of 3.48… Tossed one complete game and earned a save… Held opponents to a .255 batting average and struck out 31 batters… Went 3-1 for the year… Threw a gem against The College at Brockport on March 30, allowing no earned runs while striking out three… Struck out seven versus SUNY Oswego on April 5, scattering four hits and permitting one run… Led New Paltz to victories in each of his final four starts of the season. 

2012: Appeared in 14 games, making one start… Finished the season with a 3-2 record and a 4.55 ERA in 31.2 innings pitched, striking out 13 batters… Held opponents to a .276 batting average against… Picked up three saves as the team’s closer… His longest appearance was a 7 inning outing against Plattsburgh when he allowed one earned run and struck out three batters… His only start came against Brockport, in which he tossed six innings and allowed two earned runs on six hits, resulting in a no decision.

2011: Made nine appearances on the mound… Led the team in ERA (1.50), allowing just six runs (two earned) across 12 innings of work… Struck out seven batters and held the opposition to a .208 batting average… Issued just three walks… Allowed one unearned run in three innings of work against Wisconsin Lutheran College on March 19 and struck out three… Permitted just one hit in 1 2/3 frames of work against St. Joseph’s (LI) College on April 20… Held then-No. 11 SUNY Cortland scoreless in one inning of action on May 1.

Prior to NP: 2010 graduate of Kings Park High School... Helped his varsity team earn a county title and also was named the Suffolk County Playoff MVP.
