SUNY New Paltz is committed to reaching the top of the SUNYAC in the pool, and fielding a consistent group of NCAA qualifiers each year. We have a rich history in the pool, boasting more NCAA Champions than any other program in the conference and we believe the future of #NPSWIM is bright. Thanks so much for your support!Â
Program Highlights:
- Alex Gorzula broke two program records during SUNYAC Championship meet (2024)
- Five Hawks earned All-SUNYAC honors in 2024
- Molly Snyder & Samuel Debbie sweep SUNYAC Elite 20 Award (2024)
- Seven Hawks earned All-SUNYAC honors in 2023
- Angelina Somma named as an Elite 20 recipientÂ
- Ten Hawks earned All-SUNYAC honors in 2022.
- Twenty-Five Hawks earned a spot on the SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll List in 2023
- Twenty-five Hawks earned a spot on the SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll List in 2022Â
- Cooper Knapp crowned NCAA All-American in 2018.
- Jared Finn became SUNYAC Champion in 2020, winning the 200 freestyle.
- 2020 saw 11 individuals earn All-SUNYAC honors, including First-Team selection Jared Finn.
- 2019 saw eight individuals earn All-SUNYAC honors, including two first-team selections in Chelsea Angulas and Barrett Celecki.Â
Goals:
- Annual training trip that includes outdoor swimming at Long Course and short course pools.
- Building a facility that can support diving, and where the entire team can practice at once
- Increase assistant coach funding to full time, to allow for a larger roster and give our athletes the mentoring and training support they need
