Brandon Rivera head shot - baseball assistant coach

Brandon Rivera

Brandon Rivera enters his third year with the SUNY New Paltz Hawks baseball program as the Assistant Baseball Coach, serving primarily as the Hawks Pitching Coach. Rivera will continue holding a large responsibility of recruiting and control of the pitching staff along with his secondary role in the department as an Athletic Communications Assistant.

“I am grateful of coach Seay with all he has taught me and for him giving me this opportunity the last couple of years. I wouldn’t have wanted to start and continue my coaching career and serve under anyone else. We have the same mindset and intensity when it comes to winning and there’s just no better place to be. “

Rivera, a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, attended Niagara County Community College before transferring to Limestone College, earning a key reliever role for the Saints baseball team. While at Limestone, Rivera earned a bachelor’s degree in professional communications, while also pitching in high quality collegiate summer leagues throughout his playing career.

Following college, Rivera has been a top baseball player development coach specializing in pitching along the areas of the Hudson Valley, Westchester and Orange County regions. Rivera is currently the Head of Baseball Operations and Director of Pitching and College Recruitment for The New York Silverbacks Organization based out of Somers, NY.
