SUNY New Paltz Athletics

Trishann Hayes will begin her first season as assistant softball coach at State University of New York at New Paltz in 2018.

Hayes played softball at North Carolina Central University before a knee injury ended her exceptional career. At NC Central, Hayes earned her bachelor in criminal justice, graduating in 2012.

Hayes has been coaching since she finished college, starting with being hired as the head junior varsity softball coach by Rondout Valley High School in 2014, a position she held until the end of the 2015 season. 

In 2016, Hayes started two jobs, one as the head softball coach for a Class A travel team in Saugerties, and another as the head varsity softball coach at Kingston High School. 

At Kingston, Hayes coached numerous athletes to college recruitments, brought the team to the regionals and a sectional championship in the 2016-17 season, the same year she was named the Varsity845 Coach of the Year.
