Alayna Savaglio enters her first season on staff under Interim Head Coach Rick Spriggs ahead of the Hawks 2025 season.
A highly decorated and successful Division I college athlete, Savaglio played four seasons at Fairleigh Dickinson from 2020-2023. She graduated from FDU with a degree in Sport's Administration. Savaglio will primarily serve as the program's pitching coach.Â

Savaglio is another local high school standout attending Minisink Valley where she played for the Warriors softball team. She was named as an All-State selection after her junior and senior seasons and garnered multiple accolades from local sports publications. She competed with the Rapid Fire organization during her time as a travel player.

At FDU, Savaglio was honored as a three-time All-NEC Second Team selection. Among her many accolades were: Â
- Ranked top 25 in NCAA D1 in 2022 in K's/7 for the season  - 18 career games with 10 or more strikeouts  - 4-time NEC pitcher of the week  Â
- 1st all time in single season strikeouts (188), games started in a season (25), consecutive scoreless innings (26) and career strikeouts (535)
- 2nd all time in single season shutouts (4) and career wins (30) Â
- 3rd all time in single seasons innings pitched (156.2) , career ERA (3.14), games started in career (65) and career shutouts (6) Â

Originally from Middletown, NY, Savaglio now lives in Esopus, NY. She has a mother Dorry Francois and a younger brother Aldo and older sister Samantha.
