Coach Darren Jackson concluded his 12th season as the lead assistant for the State University of New York at New Paltz women's basketball program following the 2023-24 season where he helped the team to its third 25-plus win season, seventh SUNYAC Championship title and eighth NCAA Tournament appearance. Alongside head coach Jamie Seward, Jackson was named to the program's fourth SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year recognition.Â
Jackson previously served as the head women’s basketball coach at Dutchess Community College from 2007-10.
Jackson has helped the program to a SUNYAC tournament appearance in 11 of the 12 seasons on staff, while being a part of all seven of the program's SUNYAC Championship seasons and two Sweet 16 appearances.Â

As the assistant coach, Jackson assists head coach Jamie Seward with game strategy and recruiting.
Jackson founded Triple Threat AAU Basketball, located in Highland, N.Y., and acts as the CEO of the organization and head coach. He is also currently the manager of Dutchess Community College Office Services.
Prior to coaching at Dutchess, Jackson coached the Roosevelt High School junior varsity girl’s basketball team from 2001-07, as well as the AAU girls basketball team in Hyde Park, N.Y. from 2000-02.
Jackson earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Herkimer Community College.
