SUNY New Paltz Athletics

2017: O’Brien started the season with a time of 12 minutes, 22.7 seconds at the Vassar College Opener for a 28^th overall finish. She continued improving her times on the 5K courses at the Ron Stonitsch Vassar Invitational, UMass Dartmouth Invitational and Saratoga Invitational with times of 21:07.3 (49^th overall), 20:03 (79^th overall) and a personal-best 19:28.5 (75^th overall), respectively. She clocked in with a time of 25:30.4 (132^nd overall) at the Connecticut College Invitational before helping the Hawks to a program-best third-place standing at the SUNYAC Championship meet where she finished with a time of 25.22 to place 44^th overall. O’Brien then concluded the season with a time of 24:27.6 to finish 113rd overall at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Championships. O’Brien also earned a spot on the SUNYAC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll. 

2016: Placed 50^th of 113 at the SUNYAC Championships (24:02.3)… Ran a season-best 6k time of 23:28.0 at the NCAA Regional Championships (54^th of 303)… Finished 12^th of 111 at the Hobart and William Smith Colleges Invitational (25:00.7)… Posted a season-best 5k time of 19:35.4 at the Saratoga Invitational (49^th of 157)… Placed 25^th of 148 at the Rowan Invitational (24:51.28)… Posted a time of 20:57.8 at the Vassar Invitational (66^th of 197)… Completed the Vassar Season Opener in a time of 12:22.2 (18^th of 31).

Personal: From Altamont, NY… graduated from Guilderland High School in 2016… daughter of Karen and Edward O’Brien.
