Cain begins his first year as the State University of New York at New Paltz Athletics, Wellness & Recreation Department Assistant beginning of the 2023-24 academic year.
Cain spent the year prior with the Hawks in multiple roles. He was the lead building supervisor for the Athletic & Wellness Center starting in the summer of 2023 with his responsibility extended into the fall semester, supervising and managing 50-plus student workers including monitors, curve workers, lifeguards and intramural staff.
During the 2022-23 academic year, he aided the Senior Associate Director of Athletics, Wellness & Recreation, responsible for organizing and processing official’s paperwork for all home varsity contests, was game manager for men’s and women’s basketball, softball, baseball and men’s lacrosse games, including during the 2023 Softball SUNYAC Championships and worked as the building supervisor during New Paltz’s Youth Basketball Association games.
Prior to SUNY New Paltz, Cain earned his bachelor’s degree at SUNY Brockport in Sports Management with a minor in coaching. As a student at Brockport, he also served as the club baseball president and a member of the University’s club baseball team. He worked events under the athletic department for the Golden Eagles on the student event staff.
Cain currently lives in New Paltz, NY and is an avid bowler.
