Wichard notched his fourth double-double of the season, scoring 18 points off 8-of-16 shooting and pulling down 11 boards in a 64-49 non-conference victory over St. John Fisher College on Tuesday afternoon in Pittsford, N.Y. He also added two assists and one steal in the Hawks' win. New Paltz's victory snapped the Cardinals' five-game win streak, and it also marked St. John Fisher's first home loss of the 2011-12 season. For the season, he is averaging 18.8 points per game, 7.7 rebounds per game and 3.5 assists per game. New Paltz (5-5, 2-2 SUNYAC) resumes conference play on Tuesday, Jan. 10, taking on SUNY Potsdam at the Hawk Center at 6 p.m.
