Rieth won two individual events and anchored the Hawks' meet-winning 200 freestyle relay on Friday afternoon, as New Paltz won by a count of 134-128 over SUNY Cortland. Individually, Rieth provided first-place finishes in the 50 freestyle (24.81) and the 100 freestyle (54.08), keeping her 2011-12 individual dual-meet unbeaten streak intact. Deadlocked with Cortland heading into the final 50 of the 200 freestyle relay, Rieth fired off an anchor split of 23.48 to give the Hawks the event's winning time of 1:39.89. That standard also serves as New Paltz's best time in the event so far this year. Rieth participated on the Hawks' second-place 200 medley relay (1:53.52) in the meet's first event, charting a 24.02 freestyle split. New Paltz (9-2) concludes its dual-meet season on Saturday, Jan. 28, as it hosts the Stevens Institute of Technology at 1 p.m.
