Senior guard Kahsyrah Bryant led the New Paltz women's basketball team to a 2-1 week, including a perfect SUNYAC weekend against SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Plattsburgh. Bryant averaged 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game over the week, picking up her fourth double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday's victory over Plattsburgh. She came close to another double-double with 14 points and eight rebounds in Friday's win over Potsdam. In a low-scoring affair at Western Connecticut State University on Tuesday, Bryant led the Hawks with nine points and stole the ball a season-high four times. Bryant is second on the team in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 9.5 points and 5.7 boards per game. Her numbers improve in conference games, as she is averaging 10.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per game against SUNYAC opponents. The Hawks look to push their SUNYAC winning streak to four on Tuesday, Feb. 5, as they try to earn the season sweep against SUNY Oswego. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Max Ziel Gymnasium.
