Starke went undefeated in a 2-0 week for the New Paltz women’s tennis team. On April 10 against the Stevens Institute of Technology, she won, 6-0, 6-0, at flight five singles after teaming up with Jessica Schmidt for an 8-1 victory at flight three doubles. New Paltz ended up defeating the Ducks by a 5-4 score. On April 13 against Union (N.Y.) College, Starke once again won with Schmidt at flight three doubles—winning by an 8-2 margin—and she went on to prevail, 6-2, 5-0 (retired), at flight six singles. For the year, Starke is 3-2 overall in singles play and 4-0 overall in doubles play. New Paltz (12-3, 3-0 SUNYAC East) is slated to take on The College of New Jersey in its final dual match of the 2013 season on Wednesday, April 24, at 3 p.m. in Ewing, N.J.
