Chismar laid the foundation for the Hawks only win in a 1-3 week. On April 24, Chismar tossed 5.1 scoreless innings against SUNY Oneonta, allowing just one hit to the last batter he faced. He fanned nine Red Dragon batters to improve his SUNYAC lead to 74 strikeouts on the season. His brilliant start set up Andrew Grann to pick up the win after throwing 3.2 excellent innings in relief and keeping the Red Dragons off the board. Chismar leads the SUNYAC with an 11.22 K/9 ratio and opposing batters are hitting just .196 against him. He is also tied for the team lead with five wins on the season. Chismar's 2.43 ERA is fifth among SUNYAC pitchers.

The 2013 SUNYAC Baseball Championship Tournament begins Friday, May 3, and will be hosted by SUNY Cortland. The Hawks face off with SUNY Oswego in the opening round. First pitch will take place at 3:30 p.m.
