Pyz went the distance in a seven-inning game against Grove City College on Saturday, beating the Wolverines in the back end of a doubleheader with a one-run, six-hit performance that included four strikeouts. New Paltz won the game, 2-1. For the year, Pyz is 1-1 with a 5.00 ERA, five strikeouts and a .297 opponents batting average. New Paltz (4-5) closes out its stay at the Ripken Experience on Monday, March 10, with a 10 a.m. game against Penn State Berks.
