Hansen batted .583 (7-for-12) in a 3-2 week for the Hawks. He also added five doubles, four runs scored and three RBI while fashioning a 1.000 slugging percentage. He went 1-for-3 with a double in a 4-0 loss to No. 10 Marietta College on Saturday before having a breakout performance later on in the day in a 17-8 win over Nichols College, batting 4-for-4 with three doubles, three runs scored and two RBI. On Sunday, he came in to pinch hit in a game against Nichols and ended up coming across as the go-ahead run, as the Hawks won, 3-2. Finally, on Sunday night versus Farmingdale State, he went 1-for-4 with an RBI. Hansen currently leads the Hawks in batting average (.440), doubles (7) and slugging percentage (.720). New Paltz (7-7) next faces Birmingham-Southern College on Monday, March 17, at 2 p.m.
