Scher covered two miles in 9:40.47 in a dual meet against the Stevens Institute of Technology on Friday, winning the race by more than eight seconds. He helped the Hawks to a 23-32 victory over the Ducks. New Paltz next competes at the Vassar Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 6.
