Scher led the Hawks with a 26:00 performance at the Paul Short Run Brown Race 8K hosted by Lehigh University, averaging 5:16 a mile, placing 55th of 341 runners. The Hawks averaged a time of 26:34 at the 8K meet, competing amongst teams in all three NCAA divisions. New Paltz bested several Division I and Division II squads on the afternoon.
