For her overall success across all four matches of the tournament, senior outside hitter

The Hawks got out to a slow start against Hiram, losing by 12 points in the first set. The Terriers took the second set, 25-22, before New Paltz held Hiram to a .000 hitting percentage in the third game, cruising to a 25-15 set win. Hiram relied on an efficient attack in the fourth set, which ultimately gave the Terriers the victory. On the match, Skrobach and sophomore outside hitter
Kelly Lavender (Apalachin, N.Y.) recorded 11 and 10 kills, respectively, while freshman setter
Marissa King (Canandaigua, N.Y.) had 12 assists. Junior outside hitter

The 19th-ranked Violets overwhelmed the Hawks in their second contest of the afternoon. Despite its struggles against one of the region's top programs, New Paltz gained contributions from various different places. The veterans spearheaded the team's offensive efforts, as three seasoned Hawks, DiGiovanna, Lavender and sophomore middle hitter
Dana Vosilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y.), tied for the team-lead in kills with five each. Freshman libero
Carrie Hack's (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) 14 digs headlined a trio of New Paltz players that reached at least double-digit figures in the defensive statistical category, while King dished out 10 assists.
New Paltz (5-4) looks to get back on track this Wednesday when it travels to Troy, N.Y., to face the Sage Colleges. The match is scheduled to commence at 7 p.m.
