SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Sophomore defender Erin Tornatore (Glen Cove, N.Y.) of the State University of New York at New Paltz women's soccer team notched her first career goal on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action against Skidmore College on Wachenheim Field, but the Thoroughbreds wound up prevailing, 4-1.

Tornatore blasted a shot from the top of the box at the 14:55 mark, which tied the score at one apiece. Skidmore had opened scoring in the second minute with a goal by Elena Stansky.

Stansky netted her second score of the match in the 73rd minute, which opened up a three-goal second stanza for Skidmore.

On the game, the Thoroughbreds outshot the Hawks, 30-4, and held a 12-3 advantage on corner-kick opportunities.
