The Red Dragons scored all three of their goals in the second half on Saturday. Kayla Ceschini scored off a cross from Alaina Greco in the 49th minute for the first goal of the game. In the 73rd minute, after the ball deflected off a New Paltz defender, Elise Moinzadeh found an open net and pushed the lead to two. At the 87:56 mark, Karly DeSimone took advantage of a defensive giveaway and put the ball in the top of the net for the final Oneonta goal of the afternoon.

Senior goalkeeper Stephanie Vega (Oceanside, N.Y./Baldwin Senior) suffered the loss after giving up the three goals. She made six saves on the afternoon. Rori Stark picked up the win for the Red Dragons, earning a shutout and stopping four shots in the process.

The Hawks were outshot by a 14-7 margin, including a 9-4 deficit in shots on target. Oneonta also held a 6-1 edge in corner kicks on the afternoon.

With the loss, the Hawks fall to a fourth place tie with SUNY Fredonia (10-3-1, 4-2-1 SUNYAC) with one weekend of SUNYAC play to go. Oneonta sits atop the conference, while SUNY Cortland (8-3-4, 5-1-2 SUNYAC) and The College at Brockport (12-1-1, 5-1-1 SUNYAC) sit in second and third, respectively. Buffalo State (4-6-5, 2-1-4 SUNYAC) currently holds the sixth and final qualifying spot for the SUNYAC Women's Soccer Championship Tournament.
