NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's basketball team pays a visit to local opponent Mount Saint Mary College in non-conference action this Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 8 p.m.

Records: The Hawks enter Tuesday's game with a 2-2 record, following an 85-58 loss to Delaware Valley College... Mount Saint Mary also owns a 2-2 record after defeating Brooklyn College on Saturday, 87-79.
Scouting the Hawks: On Saturday, the Hawks ran into a hot-shooting Delaware Valley team, which shot 48 percent from the floor in an 11-of-23 performance from long distance… New Paltz trailed by only six points at intermission, but the Aggies, who are the defending Freedom Conference champions, made 6-of-9 three-pointers in the second half (.667) and used a career-high 30 points off 9-of-12 shooting from the field and 8-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc from junior/forward Jay Donovan to earn the victory… New Paltz junior guard/forward
Taylor Sowah led the Hawks with 18 points, earning eight of those points from the free throw line in playing an aggressive game… Freshman forward

Scouting the Knights: Senior forward Chris Pisciotta scored 23 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season to lead the Mount Saint Mary College men's basketball team to an 87-79 victory over Brooklyn College on Saturday in the Knights' home opener at the Kaplan Center…. Brooklyn scored seven straight points in 34 seconds to cut the deficit to 52-51, but the Knights responded with a quick 6-0 run to push the lead back to a comfortable seven points.. From the 2:30 mark to the end of the game, the Knights made all 10 of their free throw attempts to secure the victory.
Statistical Leaders: Three Mount Saint Mary College players score in double figures, led by senior guard Donte Howell (16.5 ppg), followed by senior forward Chris Pisciotta (16.0 ppg) and senior forward Joe Henain (14.5 ppg)... Henain is the rebounding leader at 10.3 rpg... Donte averages 3.8 apg.

Shereef Taylor each surpassed the 1,000-point career milestone, but New Paltz fell in overtime to Mount Saint Mary, 83-81, in the 2012-13 home opener at the Hawk Center… The feat marked the first time in program history that teammates surpassed 1,000 points in the same game... Devine and Taylor needed seven and 17 points, respectively, to reach the 1,000-point landmark... Devine finished the evening with 24 points, pushing his career total to 1,017, while Taylor picked up 25 to reach 1,008… A then junior guard Donte Howell three-pointer cut the Hawk lead in half with 22 seconds remaining... Devine missed the front end of a one-and-one with 15 seconds to go, and the Knights quickly got the ball down the court to then senior guard Lenny Ragaglia, who made the game-tying three-pointer with 10 seconds left on the clock to push the game into overtime.
What's Next: New Paltz travels to Eastern Connecticut State on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m… Mount Saint Mary travels to the University of Scranton for a 7 p.m. contest this Saturday, Nov. 30.
