Box Score NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's soccer team blanked SUNY Potsdam 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field for the Hawks' second-straight State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory.
With the win, New Paltz improves to 8-5-2, 2-2-2 SUNYAC. After the defeat, the Bears drop to 5-7-1, 0-5-0 SUNYAC. The Hawks will next play at SUNY Oneonta on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. Potsdam, meanwhile, hosts Buffalo State on Friday, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m.
A goal by senior captain
Eleni Anselmi (Garnerville, N.Y./North Rockland) in the 17
th minute provided all the offense New Paltz would need on the day, as she rocketed in a shot from the top of the 18 into the left side of the net.
For Anselmi, it marked her fifth goal of the year and 12
th of her career as she has now tallied a score in three consecutive matches. Junior forward

Kristina Gandolfo (Merrick, N.Y./Sanford H. Calhoun) provided the assists on the score.
For the match, the Hawks outshot the Bears 19-16, including a 7-4 shots-on-goal edge. Anselmi led the New Paltz attack with four shots while Gandolfo chipped in with three. Senior midfielder
