NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's soccer team looks to get back on track on Tuesday, Oct. 14, taking on non-conference Mount Saint Mary College at 7 p.m. at Kaplan Field.

RECORDS: New Paltz is 3-10-1 overall, while Mount Saint Mary enters Tuesday night's contest with an 8-3-1 overall mark.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS: New Paltz lost a pair of State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) games over the weekend, falling to SUNY Plattsburgh, 2-0, on Friday before dropping a 5-0 decision to SUNY Potsdam on Saturday… In the Plattsburgh game, senior goalkeeper Andres Montoya made a career-high-tying 10 saves.

STATISTICAL LEADERS: Junior forward Jason Gonzalez leads the team in goals (4) and points (10), while Gonzalez, freshman midfielder Jon Pugach, senior midfielder Stephen Browne and senior midfielder Alec Johnson all are tied for the team lead in assists with two… Senior goalkeepers Steven Domino and Montoya have split time between the posts… Domino boasts a 1.83 goals-against average (GAA), 43 saves and a .729 save percentage, while Montoya has a 2.12 GAA, 25 saves and a .676 save percentage.

TEAM STATISTICS: New Paltz leads the SUNYAC in saves (70)… The Hawks have been outscored, 28-15, but they have outgained their opponents, 83-77, in corner kicks… New Paltz's opposition holds a slight 217-215 edge in shots.
 

SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS: Mount Saint Mary saw its five-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday, falling, 3-1, to St. Joseph's (LI) College… Junior midfielder/forward Michael Ennis scored the Knights' only goal in the 85th minute… That setback also served as Mount Saint Mary's first Skyline Conference loss of the season.

STATISTICAL LEADERS: Ennis, senior forward Matt Garcia and sophomore midfielder Matt Minniter are tied for the team lead in goals with five apiece, while Ennis and graduate student midfielder Sean Lockwood each have a team-high three assists… Ennis' 13 points are tops on the team… Mount Saint Mary has relied on two goalies: junior Austin Peluso and sophomore Tyler Biscone… Peluso has a 1.36 GAA, 29 saves and a .707 save percentage, while Biscone owns a 1.23 GAA, 13 saves and a .765 save percentage.

TEAM STATISTICS: The Knights have outscored their opponents, 24-16, and hold a 173-127 margin in shots… Mount Saint Mary has outgained its opponents in corner kicks by a 69-36 margin.
 

LAST MEETING: The Hawks were edged in the final seconds of the second overtime versus Mount Saint Mary when these two teams last met on Oct. 22, 2013.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Hawks host SUNY Oneonta on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m.... The Knights play at Purchase College on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. in a Skyline Conference clash.
