NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The State University of New York at New Paltz men's soccer team will be in search of its first State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) win this weekend, traveling to SUNY Geneseo and The College at Brockport from Friday-Saturday, Oct. 3-4. The Hawks take on Geneseo on Friday at 4 p.m. and Brockport on Saturday at 1 p.m.
RECORDS: The Hawks are 3-5-1, 0-1-1 SUNYAC... The Knights are 5-4-1, 1-1-0 SUNYAC... The Golden Eagles are 5-0-4, 1-0-1 SUNYAC.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (3-5-1, 0-1-1 SUNYAC):The Hawks are looking for their first conference win of the season after falling to SUNY Cortland and drawing with SUNY Oswego last weekend... New Paltz is searching for its first away victory of the year as well... The Hawks are looking to snap a four-match winless skid... New Paltz is seeking its first regular-season win against Brockport since 2007, but the Hawks did top Brockport in the quarterfinal round of the SUNYAC Tournament in 2012... Junior forward
Jason Gonzalez ranks in the top 10 of several offensive categories within the SUNYAC including shots (26), shots per game (2.89), points (10), points per game (1.11), goals (4) and goals per game (.444).
