NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's soccer team is in search of its first State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) win of the year this weekend, traveling to SUNY Plattsburgh and SUNY Potsdam from Friday-Saturday, Oct. 10-11.
RECORDS: The Hawks are 3-8-1, 0-3-1 SUNYAC… The Cardinals are 6-5-1, 1-2-0 SUNYAC… The Bears are also 6-5-1, 1-2-0 SUNYAC.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (3-8-1, 0-3-1 SUNYAC): New Paltz is looking to snap a seven-match winless streak... The Hawks fell at Western Connecticut State University, 3-2, in double overtime on Tuesday night... Senior defender

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS (6-5-1, 1-2-0 SUNYAC): Plattsburgh is 4-2 at home this season… The Cardinals fell to Potsdam and SUNY Cortland before defeating SUNY Oswego 2-0 last Saturday… Plattsburgh has also earned wins against Fitchburg State College, Norwich University, Castleton State College, Union (N.Y.) College and Clarkson University… Sophomore forward Alexis Archilla was named the SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 15… Archilla ranks in the top 10 in the conference in shots (44), shots per game (3.67), points (20), points per game (1.67), goals (9), goals per game (.75) and game-winning goals (4).

STATISTICAL LEADERS: Firlit leads the team in goals (6) and points (13)… Figueroa leads the Bears with 35 shots… Thirteen players have tallied at least one goal… Senior forward Alex Minsker has recorded eight points… Junior forward Stephen Auyer has registered seven points… Senior forward Cliff Bondi has tallied six points… Davies is 5-5-1 with a GAA of 1.55, a .712 save percentage, 42 saves and two shutouts… Junior goalkeeper Jesse Kohler is 1-0 with two saves and one shutout.
TEAM STATISTICS: The Bears have outscored foes, 24-17, outshooting teams, 197-142… Potsdam holds an 88-61 shots-on-goal edge… The Bears have outscored opponents, 15-8, in the second half, outshooting teams, 115-76, during that period.
