NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's basketball team travels to cross-river rival Vassar College on Wednesday, Nov. 19 for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest.
 
RECORDS: The Hawks are 1-1 after defeating Mount Saint Mary College 61-40 in the consolation game of the 31st-annual Emmanuel Tournament over the weekend… The Brewers are 0-2 after suffering defeats to Babson and No. 15 Williams in the Babson Tournament... New Paltz is 13-7 all-time against Vassar.
 

19874SCOUTING THE HAWKS (1-1): New Paltz opened the season with a 69-59 loss to William Paterson on Saturday… Junior guard Goldie Harrison scored a team-high 13 points behind 7-of-10 shooting from the foul line… Junior guard/forward Colleen Ames chipped in 12 points… Sophomore forward Courtney Irby grabbed a team-high 10 boards… Versus the Knights, sophomore guard/forward Kit Small pulled down a contest-best 14 rebounds (10 defensive) while Irby led the way with 12 points in just 18 minutes of play… Small was named to the All-Tournament Team.
