NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's basketball team looks to pick up its first win of the season on Tuesday, Nov. 25, hosting Hudson Valley rival Mount Saint Mary at 5 p.m.
 
RECORDS: The Hawks are 0-4 after dropping a pair at the Chuck Resler Tournament… The Knights are 0-2 after traveling to Tacoma, Wash. over the weekend to play in the Doug McArthur Classic.
 

19874SCOUTING THE HAWKS (0-4): New Paltz is looking to earn its first victory of the season after dropping two games at the Chuck Resler Tournament hosted by the University of Rochester… The Hawks dropped a 78-73 overtime contest to Gordon in the consolation game… Four players scored in double figures with junior forward Kevin Roach notching a game-high 20 points… Senior guard/forward Taylor Sowah contributed 17 points while sophomore forward Andrew Seniuk and senior guard/forward R.J. Rosa chipped in 13 and 11 points, respectively… In the opening game against Utica, Sowah scored a team-best 23 points with Rosa tallying 17 points in his first action of the year… The Hawks fell at Vassar on Tuesday despite a combine 29 points from junior forward/center Alex Perlman and freshman guard/forward Malik Seelal off the bench.

5834SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS (0-2): Mount Saint Mary dropped both games in the Doug McArthur Classic last weekend in Tacoma, Wash…. The Knights fell to Puget Sound on Friday, 82-53 before dropping a 71-59 decision to Pacific Lutheran… Against the Loggers, junior guard Stephen Steyer scored a game-high 22 points including a 10-of-13 performance from the foul line… Freshman guard Daniel Wolff added 10 points… Versus the Lutes, freshman guard/forward Gerard Nocera led the team with 19 points while Wolff contributed 12 points and seven rebounds… The Knights were predicted to finish fifth of 10 teams in the 2014-15 Skyline Conference Preseason Poll.
