NEW PALTZ, NY – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's basketball team prepares for a tough road weekend in its final two games of the 2013-14 season, as the Hawks face two of the top three teams in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) standings.

On Friday at 8 p.m., New Paltz faces SUNYAC leader, The College at Brockport On Saturday at 4 p.m., the Hawks conclude the season facing SUNY Geneseo, who currently sits in third place.

RECORDS: New Paltz enter Friday's contest with a 6-17, 3-13 SUNYAC record… Brockport boasts an impressive 20-3, 14-2 mark… Geneseo is 18-5, 12-4.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS (6-17, 3-13 SUNYAC): After playing a close contest for much of the game, New Paltz was unable to pull off a win against SUNY Oneonta in a 87-75 SUNYAC loss on Feb. 14… Sophomore guard
Keegan Donovan paced the offense with 15 points, while sophomore forward
Alex Perlman added a career-high 14 points off the bench… Graduate student guard
Nick Taldi and sophomore forward
Kevin Roach each contributed ten points, as Roach fell just short of a double-double adding nine rebounds… With 985 career points, Taldi looks to become the 18th Hawk to reach 1,000 career points.

Taylor Sowah leads New Paltz and is eighth in the SUNYAC in scoring (16.7 ppg)… He leads the team in rebounds (6.7 rpg), ninth best in the SUNYAC… Senior guard
Andrew Joseph ranks fourth in the SUNYAC in assists (3.8 apg), which is also a team-best.

TEAM STATISTICS: The Hawks average 71.7 points per game… They are among the top five in the conference from the free-throw line, shooting 70.7 percent from the line... Opponents shoot 68 percent from the free-throw line against the Hawks... New Paltz ranks third in the conference in offensive rebounds (13.3 ppg)… The Hawks average 12.78 assists per game, sixth best in the SUNYAC.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES (20-2, 14-1 SUNYAC): On Tuesday night, senior Brandon Caruthers guard scored 21 points, but it was not enough as the D3hoops.com No. 14 nationally ranked Golden Eagles were upset, 95-83, at SUNY Oswego in SUNYAC play… Brockport saw its four game winning streak end… Four different Golden Eagles scored double-digits... Caruthers led the offense with 21 points and four steals... Sophomore center Olusola Adeniran added 16 points, while senior guard John Ivy chipped in 15 and freshman guard/forward Clifton Lyerly had 11 points... Ivy and Lyerly each pulled down five rebounds.

STATISTICAL LEADERS:Â The Golden Eagles are led by the SUNYAC's leading scorer in Ivy (22.2 ppg)... Ivy has scored double digits in all 23 contests for the Eagles... Caruthers follows at 12.7 points per game... Brockport's senior center Patrick Coyle leads the team in blocks (3.3 bpg) and rebounds (7.1 rpg)... Coyle is the conference leader in blocks per game and is seventh-best in the rebounding category.

TEAM STATISTICS: Brockport is the best in the SUNYAC in scoring (81.9 ppg) and is the fourth best defensive team, allowing only 68 points per game... The Golden Eagles rank lead the conference in rebounding (40.1 rpg)... Brockport outscores its opponents by 13.9 points per game, best in the conference … Brockport ranks first in the SUNYAC in blocked shots (5.96) and steals per game (11.43).

SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS (18-5, 12-4 SUNYAC): SUNY Geneseo senior forward Matt Curry scored 14 points but it was Cortland holding the Knights to their lowest scoring output of the season in a 65-53 road loss on Tuesday night in SUYNAC play… The loss pushed Geneseo into third place in conference standings...
Junior forward Gordon Lyons grabbed 13 rebounds but was held to nine points, marking the first time this season he was held to single-digit points.

STATISTICAL LEADERS:Â The Knights are led in scoring by Lyons (18.8 ppg), the fifth-leading scorer in the SUNYAC... Lyons also leads the SUNYAC in rebounding (11.2 rpg)... Senior guard Connor Fedge follows at 15.9 points per game... Senior guard Thomas Decker leads the Knights in assists (3.7 apg), which is seventh-best in the SUNYAC.
