NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – After posting a 4-0 performance at last weekend's Vassar Invitational, the State University of New York at New Paltz women's volleyball team will host the 12th-annual Hawk Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 12-13.
 
RECORDS: New Paltz will enter the invitational at 6-2 overall and has won five straight matches... SUNY Fredonia is 5-3, while Farleigh Dickinson University-College at Florham is 6-6… Mount Saint Mary College boasts a 6-5 record, while New York University enters at 5-4.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS (6-2): New Paltz has won its last five matches, including four by 3-0 scores... Last weekend at the Vassar Invitational, the Hawks defeated the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 3-2, and swept Ramapo College, the College of Mount Saint Vincent and the host Brewers... Senior libero Katy Herbst was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, the second straight week in which a Hawk has claimed the distinction... Junior outside hitter Becca Borquist ranks second in the SUNYAC in kills per set (3.16), while Herbst ranks fourth in digs per set (4.21).
