NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's swimming team will host State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) foe Cortland on Friday, Jan. 16 at 4 p.m.
RECORDS: The Hawks are 2-0 in dual meets this year, defeating Oswego and Vassar… The Red Dragons are 0-4 after falling at Hartwick on Saturday, Jan. 10.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (2-0): New Paltz finished third of four teams with 74 points at the Tampa Relay Carnival on Jan. 3… The Hawks posted fourth-place finishes in the 8x50 freestyle relay (3:08.54) and the 3x166 SNARF relay (5:33.77)… New Paltz's 3x166 SNARF relay was comprised of senior

SCOUTING THE RED DRAGONS (0-4): Cortland fell at Hartwick on Jan. 10, 156-119… Junior Reeve Callen won the 50 free (21.97) while senior Mark Hanifin placed first in the 500 free (5:00.03)… Junior Jack Jakubek placed second in the 100 breast (1:02.67) with sophomore Dylan Burns turning in a second-place time in the 100 back (55.06)… Senior Brandon McManus took second in the 1,000 free (10:40.49)… Callen placed second in the 100 free (48.30) and Hanifin claimed second in the 200 free (1:46.43)… Last season against New Paltz, then-freshman Jamie Miller won the 100 breast (1:06.99).
LAST DUAL MEET: New Paltz defeated Cortland 144-101 when these two programs last met on Jan. 17, 2014.
