NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's swimming team will travel to Ramapo College in a dual meet on Monday, Jan. 19 at 1 p.m.
RECORDS: New Paltz is 2-1 this year in dual meets… Ramapo is 4-1 after defeating Purchase on Saturday.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (2-1): The Hawks fell, 120-85, to Cotland on Friday afternoon at Elting Pool… Junior

Marc Piliero were the Hawks' lone event winners… Koenig touched first in the 50 freestyle (22.17), while Piliero paced the field in the 200 individual medley (2:08.31)… Second-place finishes for the Hawks came from senior
Jack Spader in the 1,000 freestyle (10:26.39) and the 500 freestyle (5:03.47), junior
Rod Taskindoust in the 200 individual medley (2:08.94), junior
Ethan Cooke in the 100 butterfly (55.42), Koenig in the 100 freestyle (48.88) and sophomore
Vitaut Gurskiy in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.08).…Last season against Ramapo, Spader won two individual events, placing first in the 1,000 free (10:40.97) and the 500 free (5:10.64)…
Rob Cahn won the 200 IM with a mark of 2:20.48… Taskindoust finished second in the 200 free (1:52.08)… Gurskiy placed second in the 100 breast (1:06.77).
SCOUTING THE ROADRUNNERS (4-1): The Roadrunners defeated Purchase 112-57 on Saturday… The 200-yard medley relay team took home first, made up of freshman Andrew Ramos, sophomore RJ Carillo, senior captain Philip Sokoloff and junior Charlie May, clocking in at 1:41.32… Junior Brian Henningsen won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:54.99… Ramos out touched the field in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.97. Carillo placed first in the 200-yard IM (2:04.97)… Last year against New Paltz, Sokoloff won the 200 free (1:48.20) and 200 back (2:03.32)… Carillo placed first in the 100 breast (1:03.25) and 200 breast (2:20.08)… Then-freshman Daniel Drozdewicz won the 200 butterfly (2:07.02)
LAST DUAL MEET: New Paltz fell to Ramapo 153-104 when these two programs last met on Nov. 2, 2013.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Hawks head to Mount Saint Mary on Friday, Jan. 23 before hosting SUNYAC foe Oneonta on Saturday, Jan. 24… Ramapo hosts NJAC foe Montclair State on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. for Senior Day.
