Men's Basketball Heads to Cortland on Tuesday

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – After going 1-1 at the Cregger Classic last weekend, the State University of New York at New Paltz men's basketball team travels to SUNY Cortland on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 2 p.m.
 
RECORDS: The Hawks enter Tuesday's meeting with a 3-6, 1-1 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) mark… The Red Dragons are 8-0, 2-0 SUNYAC with league wins over Buffalo State and Fredonia.
 

19874SCOUTING THE HAWKS (3-6, 1-1): New Paltz finished 1-1 at the Cregger Classic hosted by Roanoke from Jan. 2-3, falling to the Maroons before defeating Eastern in the consolation game… Against Roanoke, four Hawks finished in double figures as senior forward Taylor Sowah scored a team-high 17 points… Senior guard/forward R.J. Rosa knocked in 16 points while junior forward Kevin Roach contributed 15 points… Sophomore guard Eric Regenbogen notched 12 points off the bench… Sowah and Rosa both dished out six assists… Versus Eastern, Regenbogen scored a career-high 22 points off the bench… Sowah recorded his fourth double-double of the year with 15 points and 11 boards… Roach and Rosa knocked in 12 and 10 points, respectively… The Hawks went 0-2 against Cortland last year, as Sowah averaged 16.0 ppg.
