NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's basketball team remains on the road this weekend to face SUNY Geneseo and The College at Brockport this weekend, Feb. 13-14, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action.
RECORDS: New Paltz enters the weekend at 14-7 overall and hold a 10-4 mark in the SUNYAC, good for third place in the standings… Geneseo is 16-4 overall, 12-1 in conference and are sitting in first place… Brockport is 5-15 overall with a 3-10 SUNYAC record.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (14-7, 10-4): The Hawks enter the weekend coming off a 72-49 loss at SUNY Oswego this past Tuesday and ended their five-game winning streak... New Paltz now has moved into third place in the SUNYAC... On Tuesday, sophomore guard/forward
Kit Small scored a team-high 13 points and recorded five rebounds... Sophomore forward
Courtney Irby scored 12 points and led the Hawks with eight rebounds... Junior guard

New Paltz is the only team in the conference that has been able to top the Knights earlier this season in a 57-47 final score at New Paltz... Geneseo enters the weekend coming off their 10th-straight win after defeating Buffalo State 76-50 on Tuesday... Senior forward Shannon McGinnis scored 23 points and 15 rebounds for her 11th double-double… Junior guard Dana Cohan scored 11 points and dished out nine assists… Junior forward Allison McKenna added 16 points... The Hawks held the Knights without a double-digit scorer on Jan. 10.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES (5-15, 3-10): Brockport enters the weekend coming off a close, 76-70 loss to Fredonia on Tuesday and sits in ninth place in the conference... Tuesday night, the Golden Eagles earned a 26-20 halftime lead but fell just short, putting up 50 points in the second half compared to Fredonia's 59... Junior forward Olivia Suhr scored 34 of Brockport's 70 points, shooting 15-of-28 from the floor... Suhr also led the team with 11 rebounds and two steals… Junior guard Erin Cunningham scored a career-high 15 points… Sophomore guard Hannah Rehbaum added 11 points... Three players scored double figures in the earlier season meeting at New Paltz as Suhr led the way with 16 points.
