NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – After putting together a 5-0 homestand, the State University of New York at New Paltz women's basketball team is preparing for a three-game road swing, starting at SUNY Oswego on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
RECORDS: The Hawks are currently 14-6 overall, 10-3 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and have a 4-4 away record… New Paltz is tied with Cortland for second place… The Lakers are 6-14 overall (4-9 SUNYAC) with a 2-7 home record… Currently, Oswego is on the outside looking in at the postseason tournament.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (14-6, 10-3): The Hawks are coming off a 5-0 homestand and are looking to extend their winning streak to six… This past weekend, the Hawks had two conference wins against Potsdam (W, 78-67) and Plattsburgh (W, 74-66)… Senior guard

SCOUTING THE LAKERS (6-14, 4-9): This past weekend, the Lakers split in conference play against Fredonia (W, 80-71) and Buffalo State (L, 81-75)… Freshman guard Courtney Ameele led the Lakers against Buffalo State with a career-high 20 points and 50.0 percent shooting from the field… Freshman forward Rachael Windhausen also shot 50.0 percent from the field, claiming 16 points and 10 rebounds, for her fourth double-double on the year against the Bengals… Sophomore guard Mary Mazzella had a big weekend by recording 30 total points, eight assists and 17 rebounds… In the last meeting with New Paltz, freshman guard Alisha Jacobs poured in a game-high 21 points, two off her career high.
