Tyler Lundgren (Wallkill, N.Y./Wallkill) scored the game-winning goal for the State University of New York at New Paltz, lifting the Hawks to a 1-0 double-overtime win over Mount Saint Mary College in the season opener for both teams Tuesday at Alumni Field.
The match remained scoreless until the 105th minute, when Lundgren found the ball from senior forward

New Paltz rises to 1-0 overall and will go head-to-head against Lehman College on Saturday, Sept. 5. Mount Saint Mary drops to 0-1 overall and moves on to compete in the Union Soccer Classic from Friday-Saturday, Sept. 4-5 against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Sept. 4 at 4:30 p.m.) and Union (N.Y.) College (Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.).
