Meet ResultsTeam ScoresONEONTA, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's swimming team set two pool records in a 142-120 triumph over Catskill Cup rival SUNY Oneonta on Saturday afternoon at the G. Hal Chase Gymnasium Pool.
With men's swimming's win in conjunction with New Paltz women's swimming's victory over Oneonta, New Paltz has now tied Oneonta in the Catskill Cup standings at 14-all.

Caleb Treadwell (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) and senior
Will Koenig (Highland, Calif./Redlands East Valley) kicked off the meet with a pool record time of 3:40.05 in the event, while the 400 freestyle relay squad of Kowalsky, Treadwell, senior
Ethan Cooke (Middletown, Conn./Middletown) and Koenig clocked a pool record time of 3:17.84 in the meet's final event.
New Paltz rises to 4-2 overall with the win and hosts SUNY Geneseo in its final tune-up before the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships on Saturday, Jan. 30, at 1 p.m. Oneonta drops to 1-4 with the loss and next hosts SUNY Cortland on Saturday, Jan. 30, at 1 p.m.
Koenig won two individual events in addition to his two relay event wins. He stopped the clock first in the 50 freestyle (21.73) before placing first in the 100 freestyle (48.84).
Treadwell and sophomore
Marc Piliero (Peekskill, N.Y./Peekskill) also won individual events for the Hawks, as Treadwell placed first in the 100 backstroke (56.82) and Piliero touched first in the 200 backstroke (2:04.31).
Second-place finishes came from sophomore
Barrett Celecki (Barneveld, N.Y./Holland Patent) in the 1,000 freestyle (10:50.08), sophomore
Kevin Sales (Holtsville, N.Y./Sachem East) in the 200 freestyle (1:54.12), Lindgren in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.02) and the 200 breaststroke (2:18.87), Kowalsky in the 50 freestyle (22.71) and Treadwell in the 100 butterfly (54.39).
