Luke Dole (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) tallied a late second half goal but the State University of New York at New Paltz men's soccer squad gave up another last-minute goal for the second-straight day, this time to host SUNY Plattsburgh, as both teams battled to a 1-1 SUNYAC draw on Saturday afternoon at the Field House Complex.

Manny Flory (Long Beach, NY/Long Beach) in the 83
rd minute to give the Hawks (5-3-6, 1-3-2 SUNYAC) a 1-0 advantage. Senior midfielder
Sam Spring (Long Island City, NY/NYC Lab School for Collaborative Studies) was also credited with an assist on the play.
However, the Cardinals (9-3-1, 2-2-1 SUNYAC) netted a goal in the 89
th minute to force the game to extra time. In the first overtime session, the Hawks only managed to fire off one shot and were held without a shot in the second stanza.

Charlie Versen (Dobbs Ferry, NY/The Masters School) failed to convert a penalty kick opportunity which would have given the Hawks a 1-0 lead.
Plattsburgh outshot the Hawks 20-10 as Versen led the team with four shots (two on target) off the bench. Six other players for New Paltz tallied one shot apiece.
Junior netminder
John Guzzo (Carle Place, NY/Carle Place) made a career-high eight saves on the day.
The Hawks will now prepare to host No. 22 SUNY Oneonta on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m.
