OSWEGO, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's soccer team moved to 2-0 on the young 2016 season by handing SUNY Polytechnic a 1-0 defeat on Saturday afternoon in the final day of the SUNY Oswego Tournament.
Freshman forward
Luke Dole (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) accounted for the lone goal of the match, cashing in on a mishandled ball by the Wildcats' goalkeeper in the 40th minute, to give New Paltz a 1-0 advantage.

John Guzzo (Carle Place, NY/Carle Place) earned the start for the Hawks and finished with one save in between the pipes.
The Hawks attack was getting behind the Wildcats' back line all day, getting called for 12 offside penalties.
The Hawks (2-0) will now travel to Old Westbury on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 4 p.m. for a non-conference tilt
