NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – Senior
Jeffrey Pietkiewicz (Fremont, Calif./Irvington) of the State University of New York at New Paltz men's swimming team set an Elting Pool record on Saturday afternoon en route to the Hawks' 105-92 win over visiting SUNY Maritime in the final dual meet of the season.
The Hawks (3-0 overall) will now prepare for the 2017 SUNYAC Championships from Feb. 16-18 held in Buffalo at Erie County Community College.
Pietkiewicz clocked a 21.36 split in the first leg of the men's 200 free relay, which broke the previous pool record set by
Will Koenig '16 (21.54). The Hawks won the event (exhibition) with an overall time of 1:27.07.
Junior
Matthew Kessler (Highland Mills, N.Y./Cornwall Central) was a double-event winner on Saturday, taking first in the 50 free (22.83) and the 100 back (57.35, exhibition).
In the day's first event, the Hawks claimed first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:41.86 thanks to the efforts of junior

Konstantin Lomeyko (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) enjoyed a winning time in the 200 free (1:52.18) and freshman
Cooper Knapp (Glens Falls, N.Y./Glens Falls) took first in the 200 IM (1:58.31).
Senior
Nolan Graziano (Rhinebeck, N.Y./Rhinebeck) registered the fastest mark in the 100 fly (57.60) while Galante claimed first in the 100 free (51.04). Junior
Barrett Celecki (Barneveld, N.Y./Holland Patent) touched first in the 500 free (4:59.74).
Senior
Vitaut Gurskiy (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) clocked a 1:04.62 (exhibition) in the 100 breast and the 400 free relay team closed out the day with a 3:18.08 (exhibition) win behind swims by Pietkiewicz, Celecki, Kessler and Sales.
