SUNY New Paltz Women's Soccer Fall On The Road Against Vassar College

Box Score Poughkeepsie, NY – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's soccer team's two-game winning streak came to an end Tuesday on the road against Vassar College. The Brewers scored six unanswered second-half goals to propel the, 6-0, defeat.
 
The Hawks (4-4) held strong for 45 minutes, as Megan Tornatore came up with several saves to keep the shut out going at the break.
 
Tornatore faced 28 shots, including 20 in the second half alone and totaled 11 saves on the day.
 
"Megan played a great game," said SUNY New Paltz coach Mike Eckberg.
 
Savannah Cutler scored three consecutive goals for Vassar in the 46th, 58th and 59th minute. Ashley Ferry added on three minutes later with Audrey Pillsbury capping off the Brewers' offensive night with two more goals.
 
The Hawks are back in action Friday and Saturday as they kick off SUNYAC play against SUNY Oswego and SUNY Cortland, respectively. SUNY New Paltz hosts the Lakers at 3 p.m. and then the Red Dragons at 1 p.m. For live updates and highlights follow @nphawks on Twitter.
