Box Score New Paltz, N.Y.-- The State University of New York at New Paltz baseball team (10-11 overall, 2-7 SUNYAC) fell to the Skidmore College (11-9) 7-4 in non-league play at the Loren Campbell Memorial Field Wednesday afternoon.
The Hawks had the lead early, as sophomore outfielder David Juechter scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the first inning. 
In the second inning, Hawks senior first baseman Justin Ganca doubled to centerfield, scoring Danny Campbell who advanced to second base with a steal.
SUNY New Paltz sophomore John McCarrick then flied out to right field as Ganca was waved home.
The Thoroughbreds rallied in the third inning, scoring five runs and turning the game around.
Ganca had his second RBI in the fifth to plate sophomore Dean Stalzer, cutting the score, 5-4, entering the sixth inning.
Skidmore then tacked on another two runs in the sixth and eighth innings, both off wild pitches, putting the game out of reach as the Hawks couldn't get any offensive rhythm.
The Hawks used six pitchers with John LoCurto taking the loss.
