New Paltz, NY – Due to pending rain in the forecast in upstate New York this weekend, the State University of New York at New Paltz baseball and softball road matchups against Plattsburgh State and Buffalo State, respectively, have been moved.

The Hawks baseball team (11-17 overall, 3-12 SUNYAC) will begin its three-game series against the Cardinals (11-18, 5-10) Saturday at Chip Cummings Field, playing a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. They will then resume play Sunday for a single nine-inning game beginning at noon.
Softball (22-9, 9-5) will travel to Fredonia State (11-19, 6-8) as schedule for a doubleheader Saturday, starting at noon, but will play the Bengals (17-15, 6-8) Sunday in a two-game series, which is slated for a noon start. With rain also in the forecast in Buffalo Saturday, the rainout date is scheduled for Monday with time still to be determined.
Additionally, baseball added one more game to its schedule on May 1 at home at Loren Campbell Memorial Field. The Hawks will take on New Jersey City University in a make-up game that was originally scheduled for April 23. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start and will also serve as the team's Senior Day, honoring graduating members
