NEW PALTZ, NY-- Looking to reclaim its spot as the reigning conference champions and make a deeper run into the NCAA Tournament, the State University of New York a New Paltz women's volleyball team will kick off a potentially affluent 2019 season in its annual Hawks Invitational Sept. 6.

The Hawks will host Kean University, Hamilton College, Alfred University, Williams College and SUNY Oneonta in their annual home tournament, as they will face the Cougars in their home opener before taking on the Continentals, Saxons and Ephs.

After doing away with pool play system, SUNY New Paltz will open up its first State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action on the road against Catskill Cup rival SUNY Oneonta Sept. 17. The Hawks first SUNYAC home weekend comes Oct. 11 and Oct. 12, taking on The College at Brockport and SUNY Geneseo, the latter SUNY New Paltz defeated on its home court last season to claim its fourth conference championship. 
After playing five-straight home games, the Hawks will host Western Connecticut State Oct. 23 in their regular season finale in the Hawk Center, which will also serve as senior day to honor Shannon Thomas, Madison Van Pelt, Kerri Neville, Nicole Fellone and Emily Visintini.

SUNY New Paltz will end the regular season in the Skidmore Tournament Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, playing Union College, Morrisville State and the hosting Thoroughbreds before heading into postseason action.

The SUNYAC Tournament is scheduled to begin Nov. 5 with the championship game taking place Nov. 9 at the highest seed's home court. If the Hawks win their second- straight conference title or earn an at-large bid they then will open up the NCAA Tournament Nov. 14.
