Huntingdon, PA -- The State University of New York at New Paltz men's volleyball team (3-0) defeated No. 12 Juniata College (2-2) Friday night after a 3-1 win. 
The Hawks won the match 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 27-25. Although Juniata put up a solid performance and tested SUNY New Paltz at times, the team wasn't rattled and stayed composed throughout the contest.
Up 22-20 in the third set, the Hawks strung together three straight points to close out the set with a kill by senior outside hitter 
Riley Dolan.
In the fourth, the set was tied at 22, 23, 24, and 25 before an attack error and another kill by Dolan won the set and the game for SUNY New Paltz.

Aaron Carrk put up dominating performances, with Carrk registering 19 kills and one service ace, and Spulnick also netting 19 kills and three aces.
 
The Hawks prepare for a double-header Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. against Southern Virginia and Hiram College, respectively.
