Through two seasons with the Hawks Mastrup became a team leader, was a team SAAC representative and has excelled in the classroom as well, being named to the SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic role
Â
Mastrup talked about her experience as a Hawk and why there is only one SUNY New Paltz.Â

Â
"There are 5,600 colleges in the United States, but there is no other place I'd rather be than SUNY New Paltz. New Paltz is a home, a community and a college all in one. I receive constant support by my peers, teachers, coaches, etc through my academics and athletics. Everyone wants to see you succeed. Everything you do is noticed, between your preparation for games to the time you spend studying to the volunteering you do for the community. It's the place to be and it's a place for everyone. There will forever be "only one SUNY New Paltz," and I am proud to be a Hawk every day."Â
